Tom Telfer joined Empower Golf in February 2026 as our NSW Manager, bringing a strong passion for community, inclusion and the positive impact of sport.
Based in Sydney, Tom is excited to get out on courses across New South Wales, meet the Empower Golf community and see our clinics in action. He’s particularly inspired by the joy, connection and empowerment golf can create for people living with disability, something that aligns closely with his own values.
Tom’s connection to community work began through his involvement with PCYC, where he continues to volunteer with the boxing team at PCYC City of Sydney in Woolloomooloo. His experience supporting others and contributing to his local community has shaped both his personal and professional journey making him a natural fit for Empower Golf.
Away from the course, Tom enjoys staying active, spending time with family and playing guitar. He’s also a proud member of Fox Hills Golf Course, where he’s played for the past five years.
Tom believes golf can create challenge, connection and progress through play, values he’s looking forward to championing as Empower Golf continues to grow opportunities and break down barriers to participation across NSW.
